N2 - Enhanced spontaneous emission of a quantum emitter by sub-wavelength quasi-periodic metamaterials is proposed and demonstrated. Strong enhancement of spontaneous emission of quantum dots was observed. This arises from the semi-localized mode inherent for quasi-periodic structures.
