Abstract

This paper describes a high frequency and large field permeance meter for soft magnetic thin films. The main idea of the proposed permeance meter is to design the multiturn helmholtz coil taking account of its inductance and stray capacitance quantitatively. We performed equivalent circuit calculation of 2,000 cases and designed a three-turn helmholtz coil. We measured the permeance of soft magnetic thin films at large field using the proposed instrument. The permeance decreased at around the anisotropy field and in detail we found the behavior of the permeance decrease depends on the kind of thin films.
