Measurement of mode coupling distribution along a few-mode fiber using a synchronous multi-channel OTDR

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

We demonstrate the nondestructive measurement of mode coupling along a few-mode fiber using a synchronous multi-channel OTDR. The mode coupling distribution between the LP01 and LP11a,b modes is successfully obtained with a 10-m spatial resolution.
