Abstract

We report on the micro-photoluminescence study of the CuCl QDs attempting to observe the single QD luminescence. Using two-photon resonant excitation, we observed several sharp emission lines from individual CuCl QDs. The single QD luminescence exhibited rapid flickering and fading phenomena suggesting ionization of the QD caused by the cascade excitation of the confined exciton.
