Abstract

Dielectrophoretic manipulation of a single myeloma cell was carried out using microring-ring electrodes (tip radius, 3-5 μm). When a.c. voltages were applied, the cell nearby the electrode tip was forced to move and trapped at the tip due to dielectrophoretic force induced by locally intense electric field.
