Monolithic source of telecom-band polarization entanglement on a silicon photonic chip

Abstract

We present the first monolithic source that generates polarization entangled photon pairs integrated on a silicon photonic chip. The maximally-entangled photon pairs were generated with a state fidelity of 94% well above the classical limit.
