title = "Multimode-interference-based spatio-spectral encoder for scanner-free endoscopic imaging",
abstract = "We proposed a multimode-interference-based spatio-spectral encoder for scanner-free single-fiber fluorescence imaging. Since the fluorescence spectrum measured via the SSE is modulated by multimode interference, it shows a specific shape corresponding to the position. By encoding the collected light from every imaged pixel, the two-dimensional fluorescence image is reconstructed from a single measured spectrum. SSE is fabricated by splicing a short multimode fiber to the tip of a single mode fiber. Imaging of two-dimensional objects using fabricated SSE is demonstrated.",
