Abstract

The influences on the crystal sizes and morphology of organic microcrystals have been investigated carefully by controlling experimental conditions such as temperature and added surfactant in the reprecipitation method. As a result, polydiacetylene and perylene nano-wire crystals could be fabricated successfully. The formation mechanism of nano-wire crystals and their optical properties were discussed in detail.
