N2 - A compact wavelength tunable laser diode for digital coherent optical communication was demonstrated with a wavelength tunable filter consisting of silicon photonic wire waveguides. Stable single-mode operation with 17.8 dBm maximum output power as well as less than 100 kHz spectral line width were obtained.
