Abstract
The effects of high pressure on the magnetic structure of Tb0.76Y0.24 have been investigated by neutron diffraction using a clamp type high pressure cell. Pressure was applied up to about 2.4 GPa and temperature, down to about 10 K. The magnetic structure of Tb0.76Y0.24 exhibits a helical phase both under high pressure and at ambient pressure. The helical pitch shows a lock-in feature below about 100 K. With increasing pressure, the helical pitch is enhanced, and a lock-in feature at low temperature still remains.
