Abstract

A new electron-doped superconductor LixSr2CuO 2Br2 with x = 0.15 has successfully been synthesized by an electrochemical Li-intercalation technique. The magnetic susceptibility shows superconductivity of bulk with the superconducting transition temperature T c = 8 K. This compound is the first electron-doped superconducting cuprate with the K2NiF4 structure.
