New names of Japanese vascular plants published in 2007 and 2008

Following a previous record on the new names of Japanese vascular plants published in 2005 and 2006, this paper reports those in 2007 and 2008. These names had been announced in the website "BG Plants Japanese name - scientific name Index", so-called YList (http://bean.bio.chiba-u.jp/ bgplants/ylist-main.html). The website has been revised and is available at the moment. In this paper, as in the previous one, (1) new names for the new taxa published in 2007 and 2008 are listed with their reference(s), the type(s) with herbarium acronym(s) and the Japanese name; (2) newly proposed names accepted by the author are indicated in gothic style with each of their reference and the Japanese name; and (3) newly proposed names regarded by the author as synonyms of previously accepted names are shown in italic style are with its reference, the Japanese name and author's comments on the name and/or its taxonomic relationships with other taxa.
