Abstract

Effects of non-adiabatic coupling on resonance Raman scattering (RRS) have been investigated using the Born—Oppen-heimer basis set. For a displaced harmonic oscillator model, an analytical expression for the vibronically induced RRS cross section of the nth order vibrational transition is obtained. Model calculations of the excitation energy profiles have been performed.
