Abstract

Nuclear magnetic relaxation measurements of pnictogen atoms in Yb-monopnictides (YbN, YbP, YbAs, YbAs0.8Sb0.2, YbSb) have been carried out to investigate the spin fluctuations of 4f electrons systematically. Estimated 4f fluctuation rates (τ-14f) of all Yb-monopnictides have almost the same temperature dependence. τ-14f increases monotonously with T1/2-like law. However, from YbAs to YbSb through YbAs0.8Sb0.2, the absolute value of the fluctuation rate showed a remarkable increase. This suggests that the dynamical properties of YbSb are significantly different from other Yb-monopnictides.
