Abstract

To evaluate how power semiconductor properties in inverter circuit affect magnetic properties, we propose and test a new numerical analysis method. We have demonstrated magnetic properties depend on power semiconductors properties in an inverter circuit, so both properties should be taken into account. The proposed method combines an electrical circuit analysis for current-voltage properties of power semiconductors with a magnetic analysis based on a magnetic hysteresis model using play model. Calculation with the proposed method shows that minor loops in B-H plots (B: magnetic flux density, H: magnetic field intensity) resulting from on-voltages of semiconductors are well represented.
