Abstract

We developed an on-chip electrochromic micro-display for a disposable bio-sensing chip used in a point-of-care disease inspection system. The display can be fabricated on a CMOS-chip and can be used in an aqueous solution. A fully-functionalized demonstration system consisting of the proposed electrochromic micro-display, a voltage booster, a controlling circuit, a Mg/AgCI on-chip battery and temperature sensor instead of bio-sensor was developed. The device could be successfully operated in a NH4CI solution and the measured data could be transmitted by using the on-chip display.
