Abstract

The validity of current ideas to set up the semiconvective zone of the stellar models in corehelium-burning phase has been considered mainly from the view point of times-cales related to the mechanism. The time-scale of outward motion of convective shell has been estimated as being longer than that of evolution. From this point of view, it might be said that the models constructed with semiconvective zone are not appropriate for the core-helium-burning stars.
