Abstract

Two new 1-D compounds of Rh₂(O₂CCF₃)₄ bridged by dicyano linkers were synthesized and struturally characterized. [Rh₂(O₂CCF₃)₄ (DM-DCNQI)]_∞·(C₆H₆) (1) and [Rh₂(O₂CCF₃)₄ (DCNNQI)]_∞·(C₇H₈) (2) (DM-DCNQI = 2,5-dimethyl-N,N′-dicyanoquinone diiimine, DCNNQI = N,N′-dicyanonaphthaquinone diimine) exhibit different chain motifs because of anti versus syn N - C≡N linkages.
