Abstract

Measurements of one-electron loss cross section for ground state helium atom in hydrogen gas were made in the energy range of 2–15 keV. The cross section was determined by the initial growth method. In order to detect helium atoms and ions, microchannel plate detectors were used. The obtained values are consistent with the published data in the energy range of 10–15 keV.
