Optical soliton communication technologies for high-speed networks

Abstract

Current progress on high-speed soliton communication technologies is summarized, in which the use of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers has been a major breakthrough for the soliton communication. Prospects for soliton communication are described with a view to a future all optical network.
