Abstract

The pore size control of SBA-15 and SBA-16, which are synthesized by poly (ethylene oxide)- poly (propylene oxide)- poly (ethylene oxide) type triblock copolymer as structure directing agent, are carried out by modifying the micelle of triblock copolymer in solution on the temperature of it. The micelle core radius of this kind of triblock copolymer, which depend on the temperature, could be systematically changed according to the relation ∼(T-Tc)0.2, where Tc is the critical micellization temperature of a concentration triblock copolymer in solution. We apply this relation to a synthesis process and first reveal that the relationship between pore size Rp of SBA-15 and the solution temperature is as same as that one between the core radius of the micelle of P123 and the solution temperature in ∼ (T-Tc)0.2.
