Abstract
Magnetic neutron scattering is measured from the itinerant electron antiferromagnet Mn3Si in the paramagnetic state. The scattering is described by a Gaussian function in reciprocal lattice space and a Lorentzian function for the energy dependence. This combination is similar to that of BCC Cr instead of the double Lorentzian form of ordinary magnets. Spatial correlations at an energy transfer for 5 meV are observed to be 27 Å at 1.7TN and 18 Å at 8.7TN. The temperature dependence of the relaxation parameter Γ is described by (T - TN)0.5 up to 8.7TN.
