Abstract

A triple-Bragg-case X-ray interferometer was fabricated and tested for phase-contrast X-ray imaging using 0.071 nm synchrotron radiation X-rays. The interferometry generated interference fringes of 47% visibility, and the first measurement of the wavefront or phase map was successfully achieved. The performance of this interferometer was sufficient for a future phase-contrast microtomography experiment for biological soft tissues using undulator X-rays.
