Abstract
The phase dependent output of scattering process for traveling breathers was discussed. It was found that the stable and unstable manifolds of the scatter directed the traffic flows of the scattering process. It was observed that a transition point of the input-output relation in a parameter space such as from preservation to annihilation corresponded to when the orbit crossed the stable manifold of the scattor. Analysis shows that the scattor for the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE) became an unstable time-periodic solution.
