Abstract
The CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 phenotype in pediatric populations for subsequent correlations with the patient's genotype was investigated. Reversed-phase chromatography was performed using a Waters Alliance 2690 HPLC system. The synthesis of stable isotope labeled midazolam was carried out in seven steps. This assay will be particularly useful for examining the functional consequences of the variant and wild type CYP3A4 genotype.
