Abstract

In the search for new phosphors among various compounds in sodium calcium silicates, two new materials, Na2Ca3Si2O 8 and Na2Ca6Si4O15, were discovered as hosts for Eu2+-activated phosphors. They exhibited green emissions at 522 and 533 nm, respectively, with the corresponding excitation maxima at 327 nm.
