Physiological effects of oscillating blue light

Abstract

Red and green organic light emitting diodes (OLED) with oscillatory illuminance at 0.1 Hz induces resonance in heart rate variability (HRV) at the same frequency. Blue OLED with 0.1-Hz oscillatory illuminance, however, did not induce resonance in HRV, while it suppressed cardiac parasympathetic nerve components of HRV.
