Abstract

We experimentally observed terahertz emission of radiation produced by photoinduced plasma instability at room temperature from our original grating-bicoupled plasmon-resonant photomixer. The resonance dominantly excited by dc photocarrier components was enhanced by additionally injected differential-frequency photocarrier components. This indicates a possibility of injection-locked operation for this photomixer.
