Abstract

In order to evaluate the performance of the nematic optically compensated birefringence (NCB) mode, we actually fabricated test NCB cells and optimized the cell parameters to obtain dual domains. The fabricated NCB mode LCD had fast response time (ton+toff) less than 8ms and a high contrast ratio of over 800:1.
