Abstract

Lithium indol-3-yl(dimethyl)zincates, prepared by halogen-zinc exchange of 3-iodo-l-phenylsulfonyl-indoles with lithium trimethylzincate, reacted with benzaldehyde to give the corresponding alcohols.
