Abstract
We have reported that honeycomb-patterned(=hp) porous films can be prepared by using condensed water droplets formed on a solution surface as templates. Here, we report the preparation of hp films of photocross-linking agents by using this method. Hexagonally packed water micro-droplets are formed by evaporation cooling on the solution surface and then transferred to the solution front in the convectional flow or by the capillary force. And then, these structures were fixed after irradiation of UV light by cross-linking of photocross-linking agent. Finally, the cross-linked hp film was obtained. Moreover, the cross-linked hp film shows high thermal and chemical stability.
