Abstract

This paper describes preparation of poly(vinyl catechol-block-styrene) (PVCa-b-PSt) stabilized iron oxide nanoparticles and formation of Janus particles by self-organization process. Here, we succeeded in stabilize iron oxide nanoparticles with PVCa-b-PSt by ligand exchanging of oleic acids to solubilize them in organic solvents and polymer materials and formation of Janus particles. Relation between the size of iron oxide nanoparticles and phase separated structure of PVCa-b-PSt is discussed.
