N2 - An objective method for evaluating user's cumbersome feeling to the interface of consumer electronic devices was developed using the analysis of heart rate variability (HRV). HRV responses to 4 different types of remote controller of a home appliance were evaluated in 14 healthy subjects. We found that heart rate and low-frequency component of HRV correlated negatively with cumbersome feeling to operation.
