Abstract

A quantum Markov random field model which has a quantum fluctuation instead of a thermal fluctuation as a new type of fluctuation is presented and an iterative algorithm for image restorations from the standpoint of quantum statistical mechanics is proposed. Local minimum configurations can be avoided due to this quantum fluctuation and a mean-field iterative algorithm can be constructed in a quantum statistical-mechanical sense.
