Rapidly quenched Fe base crystalline ribbon materials

Abstract

Coercive force and losses in high silicon iron ribbons are measured. Drastic decreases of 20 mOe in coercive force is obtained by water quenching or field annealing and low iron losses of 0.38 watts/kg is obtained in ribbons which have low coercive force.
