N2 - In the preceding Comment by M. Schulz, it is argued that the experimental resolution is responsible only for part of the discrepancies between theory and experiment in the problem of ionizing 100-Mev/amu C6++He collisions. They also note that our theoretical study lacks an account for the effects of the projectile coherence, which potentially can resolve the remaining disagreement. We show, by means of the rigorous approach based on time-dependent scattering theory, that the projectile-coherence effects have no impact on the cross section in contrast to those due to the target coherence. The results and conclusions of our theoretical analysis remain unaltered both in the case of the first-order model and in the case of higher-order models.
