Abstract
In this paper, artificially synthetic wastewater is used to study the removal of BOD, COD and glucose in a batch reactor of activated sludge process. It has been found that the absorption-decomposition process as well as repollution process exists simultaneously. On this basis a new kinetic relationship is proposed and the correctness of this relationship is justified by experiments.
