Abstract

We investigated the emission spectra of CuCl quantum dots (QDs) in NaCl matrices under resonant one- and two-photon excitation. We observed emission fine structures representing higher confinement states of the QD, one of which has considerably smaller energy than that theoretically expected. We also studied two-photon microspectroscopy to demonstrate the emission from the single quantum dot.
