Abstract

We report on the experimental technique of the measurement of temperature oscillations in acoustic waves. The temperature by a thermocouple is compared with the analytical one derived from a laminar oscillating flow theory. From the differences between them, we derive the response function of the thermocouple. We show continuously the response function in the frequency below 50 Hz using a short acoustic pulse. We can determine the temperature oscillation from the measured one by using the response function.
