Abstract

Many bibliography databases have been constructed in many organizations. However, since the outputs of these databases cannot be customized flexibly, it is difficult for users to reuse the database information. We have developed a web-based bibliography system that enables users to format output bibliographies in a variety of styles. In order to specify the format style of an output bibliography, we introduce two types of interfaces, which are composed of general web forms only. One interface (FR-IF: Field Rule Interface) creates rules that define fields to be listed and their order of arrangement. The other interface (TR-IF: Text style Rule Interface) makes rules that define the text style of each field.
