Abstract

The interaction between nanoparticles covered by end-grafted linear homopolymers in good solvent was computed. It was found that, as long as the continuous grafting-site approximation and Edwards approximation are valid, the interaction can either be purely attractive or attractive at large and small distances and repulsive at intermediate distances.
