Abstract

Sensing of precise sound-space information is important to realize ultra-realistic communications. This study is aimed at realizing high-precision sensors of sound-space information for transmission to distant places. The proposed systems comprehensively sense 3D sound-space information, i.e., information for all directions for any listener orientation with correct binaural cues. In this report, we introduce two systems: "SENZI (Symmetrical object with ENchased Zillion microphones)" and "ASURA (A Symmetrical and Universal Recording Array)". Results of computer simulations demonstrate that our proposed system can sense 3D sound space with high precision.
