Abstract

This paper presents an example of S-PSA, Seismic Probabilistic Safety Assessment, applied to an existing estuary dam, in concrete terms, details of the S-PSA with using FEM analysis, severe damage probabilities of respective parts constituting the dam and probabilistic damage curves of the parts corresponding to increscent seismic intensity. And finally, the seismic retrofit planning based on risk is discussed.
