Abstract

The roots of Rehmannia glutinosa afforded a new sesquiterpenoid and its structure was determined to be 1-(4-methyl-2-furanyl)-2-(5-methyl-5-ethenyl-2-tetrahydrofuranyl)-propan-1-one through examination of its spectroscopic properties.
