Abstract

By preparing H-Fe-Silicates with a high Fe content, a sharp contrast between the H-Fe-silicates and H-ZSM-5 was revealed in propylene conversion. On the H-Fe-silicates, oligomerization and isomerization of the oligomers proceed selectively even at high temperatures, while formation of aromatics and lower paraffins is significant on H-ZSM-5. The sharp contrast is ascribed to the difference in acid strength of strong acid sites.
