Abstract

A new control method of the total artificial heart (TAH) proposed by Y.Abe in which the cardiac output of TAH is adjusted on the basis of the peripheral vascular conductance has been examined with digital computer simulation. As a result, its control theoretical aspects and direction of improvement have been revealed.
