N2 - Results are presented for the [Formula Presented]He[Formula Presented] reaction in the region 380 [Formula Presented] MeV, investigated with the use of a 10% duty factor tagged photon beam, in conjunction with the TAGX multiparticle spectrometer. The study of such multipion photoproduction reactions has motivated a number of chiral symmetric models, and is expected to provide an insight on the role of the [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented] resonances in the nuclear medium. From comparisons of the data with simple reaction simulations, it was found that the data were best fit with a combination of multibody phase space channels, quasifree [Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented], and [Formula Presented] production channels. The results are compared with other double pion photoproduction reactions on hydrogen and deuterium.
