Abstract

We evaluated the BER dependence on distance in a 1.28-Tbit/s (320-Gbaud PDM-DQPSK) single-channel Nyquist pulse transmission for different roll-off factors a. A 3000-km transmission was achieved with a=0.5, which is 300-km longer than with a=0.
