N2 - We demonstrate a single-channel 1.28 Tbit/s subpicosecond pulse transmission at 1.1 μm using a high-Δ single-mode step index fiber and ytterbium-doped fiber amplifiers. With a chirped fiber Bragg grating and pre-chirping technique for wideband GVD and dispersion slope compensation, 58 km transmission was successfully achieved.
