Abstract

We report a low loss strip loaded single mode waveguide with a GaAs/Al//0//. //3Ga//0//. //7As double heterostructure. The propagation loss is derived to be 1. 3 db/cm for 1. 3 mu m single mode propagation from Fabry-Perot resonances of a waveguide with good cleaved facets using a DFB laser.
